Fabric garland instructions

I love making memories while I decorate, and this DIY project is no exception! This very simple craft will bring a unique design to your holiday décor.

You will need: a few Fabric designs each cut into 1in wide strips & a string of lights

Step one

Cut your fabric of choice into 1 inch strips, as least 6 inches long. that is just a guideline, nothing about this craft is exact!

these are the three fabric styles that I used, as they fit the rest of my home’s holiday décor.

I used one yard of each style of fabric and I had enough for two strings of 100 lights, you can use whatever you have on hand, this craft is completely customizable!

Step two

tie the fabric strips to the string of lights using a simple knot. use two to three strips in between each light bulb

I alternated between two and three strips, but used no specific pattern.

Final Product

This gorgeous garland looks great with or without the lights turned on! (if you have a pre-lit tree, you could add this garland as an unlit feature)

Safety note: Make sure to use lights that do not get hot and follow all of the instructions from the manufacturer
